Measure at perch level
The owner's reported room target is around 24°C. Check actual daily high and low values near cages rather than assuming an AC display describes every perch. Look for direct airflow, hot lamps, window sun and cooler overnight corners. A stable room reading alone does not establish the correct conditions for every species or an ill chick.

Know your actual day
08:00 to 21:30 gives 13.5 hours of scheduled light and a possible 10.5-hour dark interval. Late room use, screens or other lamps may shorten the effective night. Record actual darkness and interruptions. A long breeding-style day should not automatically become a permanent year-round setting for every bird.
Treat UV as a separate system
Ordinary room brightness does not specify UV output. AAV guidance emphasizes lamp type, exposure, placement and the ability to move away. Plan any bird UV lighting with appropriate advice and manufacturer instructions; do not copy reptile lamp settings or install germicidal UVC over occupied cages.
